The homeowners have an extensive collection contemporary artwork by female artists. Some of the works in the home are by Sheila Hicks, Simone Leigh, Erin Shirreff, and Alicja Kwade— all of which informed our style choices and direction.

The floating bookcase in front of the window in the kids room was one of the existing design elements that we kept from the original owners. It is still one of our favorite moments in the house.

Three expansive living areas provide space to entertain. The top floor and roof deck have expansive views of the city. It’s no wonder the new owners wished not to interfere with the ultimate structure, however, it was clear that to enjoy the home, we needed to update the finishes and systems— all while honoring the original style intent.
